Peanut sauce

Servings: 3-4
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger or 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 4 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- Red pepper flakes, to taste
- Water, as needed
Instructions
- Whisk all the ingredients (minus 2 tablespoons of the hot water) together in a bowl, a jar with a lid (shake vigorously) or a small blender or food processor until smooth.
- Add the extra water a little at a time depending on whether you need this for a sauce, dip or a dressing to your desired consistency.
- This can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge, or used immediately!

- 2025-07-25: Made to have with noodles and shrimp. Pretty good! Original recipe called for 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce, but 4 tsp regular soy sauce seemed to work well for me.
