Easy homemade mac and cheese

Ingredients
- 4oz protein pasta
- 1/3 cup pasta water
- 10g protein powder
- 40g shredded cheddar cheese
- 2g corn starch, if cheese does not have starch coating already
Instructions
- Boil pasta until cooked. Drain, reserving some pasta water.
- Add sauce ingredients to hot pan and stir until combined. Use as much of the pasta water as you need/want. (I am sometimes lazy and do this in the serving bowl instead, but it doesn't properly mix until you put the hot pasta in too).
- Add pasta to saucepan and mix. Serve!
Journal
- 2025-09-28: made a serving for lunch with 4oz pasta, water and protein powder, and 3oz cheese. Definitely too much cheese - would try 2/3 of the amount next time.
- 2025-09-29: made a small serving with 2oz Banza pasta, 1oz cheese, and 5g protein powder.
- 2025-09-30: used 4oz pasta, 1.5oz cheese (40g), and 10g protein powder. Turned out well, so I think I'll update the official recipe to this.
